I'm thankful for so many things - more this year than ever before. I feel so grateful to be able to work part-time and be home with the sweetest boy ever. To have a husband who puts Charlie and I above all else - and understands the importance of spending quality time with him. And a family (extended included) who I can't imagine my life without.

Lindsay comes to Tahoe

We woke up to sunny skies which was perfect because we had to go down the mountain to pick up Lindsay from the train station

Lindsay's train was delayed so we spent the morning reading (Dan doen't read very often so he was excited to be holding a book).

We bundled Charlie up once again.

After a bus to a bus to train to a bus, Lindsay is here!

We walked to the lake and it was ICE COLD!

Christmas is coming!

Let it snow!

We woke

up to a BLIZZARD (50 inches of snow!)

The snow covered EVERYTHING.

The Bumbo goes everywhere from the bath to the snow.

I just love falling snow! It's so beautiful. I didn't realize that it really does actually look glittery.

The Altima isn't exactly a snow mobile so we took the shuttle into town instead. Good thing too, because even the 4WD vehicle with snow tires had a rough time making it back up the mountain.

Excited to get out for the day and eat and shop.

Back in the snowsuit...

The Village was so nice. Less wind and snow than the mountain and soft, powdery snow.

We had to keep switching off because Charlie got heavy in that snowsuit!

 About five years ago, Dan and I started the tradition of buying an ornament every year. We bought one in New York, one when we bought our house, one when we found out we were pregnant. This is the perfect family ornament for 2010.

Back on the couch safe and sound....

with marshmellow creme! This stuff is the freaking best. We started by adding it to our hot chocolate and now we are eating it by the spoonful. We are on vacay!

Marmee comes in to Tahoe

We woke up early to pick up Marmee from the airport

She flew into Reno so we took a drive where it was warm and sunny. Snow covered the ground but the sun was shining.

By the time I got the puffiest snow suit ever on Charlie, he fell asleep! But not for long...

Marmee wanted to see the snow - we sank to our knees instantly.

When we got out of the car, Charlie started screaming. Dan finally got him warm and in the Bjorn and he went right back to sleep.

                         This was fun for about twenty minutes. Then we ran for the car and hot cocoa.

                          Ralphie from Christmas story? It was SO hard to buckle him in!

             The only part of the snow suit Charlie liked was taking it off.
